Prospecting can be done in many ways through various marketing techniques. A few examples are the internet, offline marketing, cold calling (which is the hardest way and nobody likes), direct mail campaigns, classified ads along with other methods. Either way you have to constantly get new customers funneling through some kind of system.

What I really want to touch here is cold calling. There are a few things in life people would rather avoid for instance death, taxes, car shopping, public speaking and I have included cold calling, the dreaded telephone.

There is a lot of deadly things in the world. Animals armed with venom and poison are most likely part of it. The deadliest of which are capable of killing humans in less than a minute flat. Here are two of the animals that can do so with venom and poison.

The venomous one is the box jellyfish. Its neurotoxin can kill a human in less than four minutes, or is it four seconds? Anyway, this venom is potent enough to kill about forty men. They can obviously be found washed up on beaches and swimming around worldwide.

Investment banks might have CIPA.

Congenital Insensitivity to Pain with Anhidrosis, or CIPA, is a genetic condition that stops its subjects from feeling pain. In laymen’s terms, the subject’s body cannot communicate “pain” signals to his or her brain.

It’s an extremely rare phenomenon, afflicting only 17 people in the US. Yet, as rare as this condition is for individuals, investment banks seem to have it in spades.

In the last month, corporate heads at Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers, and Morgan Stanley have all come out saying, “the worst is over” for the financial crisis. As with CIPA, these corporate heads don’t seem to be receiving “pain” signals from their corporate bodies.

Working from home was a goal of mine for some time! It may sound old fashioned, but I have always wanted to be able to stay at home and raise my children. However, in this day and age, it can be hard to stay at home and not make any extra income for the additional needs of a family. This is a day of great opportunities though! It is required for you to reach your destination in any Generic MLM business venture, at least in the mind of the seeker, because the journey is the lesson that teaches you how to accept the dream. The trip is never one long race to the finish, it requires stops along the way. Many find this unbearable, as the impatience takes control. When an adventure is taken in bites and pieces, there is then time to savor the little hills and streams that one has surpassed and overcome.

Lets compare an MLM company’s distributor organization to an army. There are two major components that make up an army: Officers (Generals) and Privates (Foot soldiers). Would it be possible to have an army with no generals or other high-ranking officers? No, of course not. There would be no leadership. But just as importantly, could you have an army with no foot soldiers?
