Chinese egg noodles. They can be used in soups and stir-fry dishes as well as being boiled then fried until they’re crisp. This is the most popular type of noodle for Chinese cooking.

Shiitake mushrooms. They tough stalks which can be used for flavouring but should be thrown away before the dish is presented. They are often sold dried and should be reconstituted in hot water for 30 minutes. The soaking water can be added to soups for extra flavour.

Tricks To Maintaining A Healthy Grill

Grilling or BBQing seems to be a warm weather passion for many people all over the world. This usually means that sometime in autumn, the grill or BBQ is placed into hibernation. It is interesting that this phenomena happens, even in the tropical parts of the world with many people, even though the outdoor temperatures do not get very low. We pull out the grill or BBQ in spring sometime and the great afternoons and evenings of outdoor cooking commence again. There is almost nothing worse than cooking up a treat of fish and then finding that the last beef marinade taste is through the fish. Fast Food - Direct And Indirect Harm

The dangers of fast food come in two types. There are the obvious dangers posed by the high fat and calorie content of fast foods. There are also some hidden dangers rarely considered.

When a person is told that fast food is not good for them from a nutritional point of view, he is hardly surprised. The relationship between fast food and the almost epidemic obesity of the American population is a fairly well known fact. Still, the factors that make fast food so popular still seem to be powerful enough to make the majority of the population ignore the obvious risks of poor nutrition and weight problems. Fast food is easily available, relatively cheap, most people find it tasty and filling and it can be purchased fast.

The Whaling Company Of Williamsburg - A Review

Please note menu offerings and prices may vary.

Dining at this restaurant is indeed a special occasion. As a continuation of our honeymoon and to celebrate my wife’s birthday, our parents took us to The Whaling Company.

We could not have asked for a more pleasant dining experience. The service was excellent and the seafood even better. The Shrimp Scampi Linguini had lots of jumbo shrimp sauteed in butter, garlic, tomatoes, parsley, Chablis wine, and lemon juice atop a bed of fresh linguini. I chose the Whaling Company Seafood Skillet, a sumptuous combination of scallops, backfin crab meat, shrimp, whole clams, and fresh fish baked in Chablis wine butter served on a bed of spicy paella rice. Very unique and original, and quite tasty. My father opted for the Whiskey Peppercorn Steak, which we all drooled over when it arrived. This flame broiled Filet Mignon came lightly coated with cracked peppercorns and a whiskey peppercorn sauce — it was delicious.
